Biking on the Arlberg
Lech am Arlberg is a true paradise for biking enthusiasts. With its breathtaking landscapes, challenging trails or leisurely routes, it attracts numerous bikers from all over the world every year. The region around Lech am Arlberg offers a variety of routes for riders of all levels and preferences. From relaxed cycling on asphalt roads to technically challenging single trails, there is something for everyone to discover. The routes lead through dense forests, across green alpine meadows and along glistening mountain streams, making biking an unforgettable experience. Our Chalet Anna Maria offers the ideal starting point for your tours.
The trail at the Lech-Oberlech mountain railway and the Petersboden cable car was designed so that both beginners and ambitious mountain bikers can have fun freeriding. The different difficulty levels on the trail are suitable for every riding level. Bikers with little trail experience can have fun on the continuous easy line, while for the more athletic advanced riders, there are always branching off sections with different requirements and levels of difficulty. In addition to berms and wooden curves, north-shore elements, drops and technical challenges make the route more selective and challenge the bikers.
By bike, we first cycle through the Zugertal valley and continue on the asphalted road to the turnoff towards the Formarinalpe. At the well-known ibex statue at the beginning of the Lechweg trail, we then continue on foot. The path branches off to the Steinernes Meer. Here you will find countless fossils, such as ammonites. A short detour to the Formaletsch is recommended for those who want to reach the summit. The path leads in serpentines up to the 2,292m high panoramic mountain.
